#1 Get a Pans and Lids Organizer
Pots and pans are bulky and awkward to store. Everyone knows the loud clanking sound of grabbing the pan on the bottom of the stack. Storing your pans verticle saves space and is way more convenient than grabbing a pan from a stack.

#2 Create Systems in Your Car
Cars easily become cluttered with trash, food containers, bags, etc. It is important to have systems in your car, just like your home, to keep everything in order. Everyone should have a small trashcan in their car to keep trash from getting stuffed into every crack and crevice. Consider getting an organizer for your trunk to keep your car essentials organized. If you have kids, look at getting a back-of-the-seat organizer for all of their activities. There are even gap organizers for the space between the seat and the center console where items you drop go to die. Check out the links below for some ideas!

#3 Don’t Forget About Your Digital Space
Lots of people forget about digital clutter, but it causes stress too! Instead of just deleting junk emails, go through and unsubscribe from them. It takes a little more time to unsubscribe, but it will save you from having to constantly delete them! Go through your phone and delete any apps that you don’t use. Categorize your apps to make it easier to find the one you are looking for. Go through your drives and files and organize them just like a filing cabinet. Make files by dates, subjects, type, etc. Whatever system makes sense to you and its use. Your digital space has a big impact on your mental space.

#4 Declutter Water Bottles and Mugs
Typically families have double the amount of plates and bowls as people in their house so that they can have guests. For some reason, most families also have enough water bottles and mugs for everyone to have 6. Usually, mugs have sentimental value and we keep water bottles in case we need spares. This is your sign to go through your mugs. Give away the ones that you don’t grab for regularly. When going through water bottles match up the lid to the bottle. If any are missing a lid or are broken. Get rid of them. If you do not use them, get rid of them. This will free up a lot of space in your cabinets! Shop this water bottle organizer!

#5 Create a System for When Papers Come Into Your House
Many people have a space in their house that is the dumping ground for papers. When they receive mail, it gets thrown on this table or spot on the counter until someone has the time to open it. Even after opening, it commonly goes back to this space. Creating a system that works for you to control paper is a game changer. Get a wall paper organizer and label them with what works for you. I like having one labeled “to read” in case I don’t have time and just need to throw it in, “bills”, and “send out”. I like to file and shred papers immediately, so personally, I do not need a slot for that, but if that is your system, add it to your file folder!
